2016 ARINNA TASTING NOTES:

This blend is comprised of 50% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec; of which are 100% estate grown. This vintage experienced 12 months in majority French oak along with minimal American oak. After transferring to bottle, it experienced 2 years resting before our release in April of 2019 and as of late, it has 3 years of bottle resting.

In glass, you’re looking at a wine with dark hued red/purple tint and low viscosity. That intense color correlates to what you should be expecting with aromatics and taste. Swirling your glass, you will be able to increase the aromatics for your evaluation. Taking a few breaths, this blend has notes of black berry, plum, vanilla, oak and a slight leathery note. The nose is very approachable, which is why it is such a crowd favorite.

When tasting, take a few sips and gather your full thought; again, no wrong answers. When I taste this wine, I immediately taste fruit: deep black berry, figs and dried prunes. These fruits were also picked up on the nose, but are suddenly mellowed with the oak finish which provided a slight toasted note. On the finish you notice warmth, this wine is 14.5% alcohol which provides the warmth as you finish.

Overall, this wine is one of our most approachable reds that provides characteristics of that should please most wine lovers.
